A P-I Diagram Approach for Predicting Dynamic Response and Damage Assessment of Reactive Power Concrete Columns Subjected to Blast Loading

Reactive Power Concrete (RPC) possesses high compressive strength, toughness, and durability, it is increasingly being used in important buildings. The column an load-bearing member of a building, its failure under blast loading results building collapse. Based on these attributes, the dynamic response degree damage to RPC are critical assessing performance. Due lack methods, progress study relatively slow. In order solve issues, studied based equivalent single-degree-of-freedom method P-I curve this paper. During model validation phase, deformation predicted using ESDOF approach correlates well with explosion simulation test results. curves typical were also determined, some data analyzed evaluate influence different key parameters, such as slenderness ratio, cross-sectional dimension, axial compression ratio. show that susceptible shear, bending, bending-shear impulse load region, quasi-static respectively. dimension ratio exhibit greatest among five parameters. With increasing overpressure asymptote bending increases by 4.2 times decreases about 57.3%. Furthermore, combined features, found reasonably dimensions strength could simultaneously improve comprehensive anti-blast performance columns.
